The ACA Symposium 2026 once again brought together decision-makers, startups, academics, and industry experts to exchange perspectives on the future of Accounting, Controlling, and Finance.

As the flagship event of the Institute for Accounting, Controlling and Auditing at the University of St. Gallen (ACA-HSG), the symposium created a platform for interactive discussions, practical insights, and inspiring conversations around governance, digital transformation, IT risk, and modern financial leadership.

The symposium started with an evening event featuring welcome drinks, inspiring impulse talks from research and practice, and interactive networking in a relaxed atmosphere. The evening provided a great opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and discuss current developments and challenges in finance, governance, and risk management.

The conference day featured a wide range of sessions and discussions focused on governance, IT-related topics, regulatory developments, and organizational challenges. Participants explored practical approaches, emerging trends, and innovative perspectives on the future of financial leadership and enterprise risk management.

Riscomp GmbH also participated this year:
Maxim Chuprunov, CEO of Riscomp GmbH, together with Prof. Dr. Dennis Fehrenbacher, Director of ACA-HSG, hosted a workshop series on the topic:

The workshop brought information and IT risks to life through an interactive case study and collaborative discussions. Participants worked in groups to analyze interconnected SAP landscapes, assess cyber and compliance risks, evaluate potential financial impacts, and discuss mitigation measures and investment priorities.

The demonstrated Asset Impact Intelligence approach to IT risk management, developed by Riscomp, helps close translation gaps between CISO and CFO and better integrate IT risk into enterprise risk. AI technologies support this approach by analyzing risk and compliance data and by informing investment decisions for IT security measures.

A big thank you to ACA-HSG and all participants for the engaging discussions, active participation, and inspiring exchange throughout the event!
