Gartner reports that by 2023, modern privacy regulations will govern the personal data of 65% of the world’s population. While that figure is just 10% today, since the introduction of the GDPR in Europe in 2018 more than 60 jurisdictions around the world have enacted or proposed postmodern privacy and data protection laws. These include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, the U.S., Singapore and Thailand.
